Mine tended to flex occassionally too. Over the weekend I stole the aluminum servo mounts from the M03R which have 2 screw holes per side and that LOCKED my servo in place. No more flex even if I tried.

Would gladly use the aluminum mounts from the M03R but do not believe that they are available without buying the kit.
Do you have a part number? Maybe they are also used in another Tamiya kit.

I put a small amount of sho-goo at the rear/left corner of the servo. Stops it from flexing.
You can still split the case open to access the gears by removing the right side mounting screw only.

Mine hasn't had any problem flexing...I just reduced the endpoints on my Tx until it didn't over throw . If I left my EPA at 100% it had at least 20% too much throw in the servo and would flex the servo up once the cars steering had no more throw.

muahdib4...this is what we need next. A full 1/10 size M03 with a hatch. They are re-releasing it in a week! And it runs $48 from Champ!!

What's the model #? I'm assuming that's an M03L and that's the only difference. I'd run that Peugeot in a heartbeat. I won't be able to get one until the first of the month though.

hey cool! TE37's for my mini! it would be ok to run those wheels correct? Assuming the track runs TCS rules of course.

No it's a full 10th scale with a slightly shorter wheelbase and a full 190mm width...#58224. It's on Champs site.

OHHH...It's an FF02. That might be cool enough. I've never owned one. Yep, I'll have to get one.

Anyone else like to try these motors $20/each shipped by EMS min order of 2. Western Union only though.

i never thought the FF02 would be re-released! if you were to combine the M-03R with an FF-02, you would have an FFM-05R !!

and an FF-02 for less than 50 bucks! WOW!!! i have extra m-03 parts, so i could totally build another mini for hella cheap!

Actually it was Manny and Avery i was worried about....but as you can see from the results, they didn't finish the race. I hope next weekends race will be just as exciting!

Actually I was mistaken...the kit price is listed as 4200 yen...or about $35!!!!

The Futaba 9650 is perfect. The servo case is just a bit smaller than a standard servo, so when you go to mount it in an m03, you will need to take a dremel to the servo mounting ear on the tower (the triangular shaped piece that screws on at the top of the servo tower) and expand the length of the slot by about 3 mm towards the cars's centerline - the width of a screw. I don't think anyone can claim that that is not TCS legal (I've been running mine that way for a long time for TCS events). Another suggestion - the servo case ears are not quite as strong as a typical servo, so once in a while after a really bad crash you can crack the case. That is a replaceable part, but often in very short supply - it took me 4 months to get one out of futaba/tower hobbies. Thus when you buy one of these servos, try to pick up an extra case right away. (Of course, now that I have two spare cases in the drawer I haven't cracked it again!) I also use the metal servo mounts from Tamiya that are identical to the plastic mounts - these have long been available back to TA-02 time (sorry, don't have the part number handy).
Finally, make sure that the EPA on your radio is correct so that the servo is not attempting to throw beyond the car's turn angle ability - when you go full lock to one side, the servo should not be flexing the mount, and you should not hear the servo struggling to attempt to turn beyon the alloted throw.
