Here is my carpet setup:
Front:
2mm ride height
2 deg toe out
Stock bump steer
Thick swaybar
70wt. oil
3 hole piston
6mm internal limiter (allows 1.5mm droop)
Blue short spring
S-Grips with Stock foam inserts with sidewalls CA'd
Rear:
2.5mm ride height
40wt. oil
3hole piston
No swaybar
4mm internal limiter (allows 3.5mm droop)
Red short spring
Type A slicks with stock foam inserts
Gear diff dry and shimmed almost to a spool.
Awesome and pretty easy to drive. It is also not tippy like most of the setups I've seen. You really have to screw a corner up to make it traction roll and most the time if it does start to tip it won't go all the way over, just lift 2 wheels. For whatever reason the tire choice and insert works realy well.

...and this is the body I plan on running this summer...it uses the short 208mm wheelbase, but with a Swift body!

But I thought we were going to stick with Tamiya only. Guess I can get even more creative then... Don't make me get a worm...I will and I'll RACE IT.

Hey...
Anybody who's bought (or might buy) a Tamiya RTR for whatever reason, I'd be interested in buying the radio/receiver/servo that you probably didn't want to use anyway. Might even buy the ESC. Preference to chanels OTHER than 5, but can make that work as well.
Let me know what you've got.

Hey guys,
My local track is starting up a Mini class and one of the rules is that you have to run the Tamiya ESC that comes with the kit. The problem I have is that the receiver is is not getting any power and the ESC is making a beeping noise. I've tried everything I can think of but nothing works. I know I'm probably overlooking something but if anybody has any insight into what my problem could be it would be much appreciated!

If your esc and receiver are like mine, you have to connect BOTH leads from the esc to the receiver...the three wire lead to the Ch 2 and the two wire lead to the Batt slot. For whatever reason Tamiya couldn't get the power to the receiver via the three-wire lead.

I had the same problem. It turned out that my reciever was fried. Did you try plugging the throttle into another slot on your reciever? A friend of mine had to plug the throttle into the steering slot to stop his from beeping.
Hope this helps.
