And I love it. BTW...others were commenting on how great and helpful your site was and I thought I'd just say basically the same thing. Very helpful in setting up my Mini though I still don't drive well but I'm learning. It doesn't help that I race against a guy who won the TCS Mini at Fastlane back in 2001 but he's a good marker to gauge my improvement.

Tony,
You still running your LiPos? I tried them two days ago and I don't think I'll have much use for NiMH anymore but the local track regulars adviced me against them because they say batteries get pretty banged up in crashes. A couple of them have even broken their stick packs in crashes. I can't imagine what you'd have to do to break a stick pack, so I'm naturally worried about the LiPos. Haha.

Well I have seen normal stick packs broken in crashes, but there is a simple way around that, and we do it with our 'normal' packs and also with our Lipos as well.

The basic idea is to strap the pack in with a big rubber band. We use bicycle inner tubes and cut them into strips and they hold the pack in. It makes it VERY secure and supports it a lot better.

Over half of us at rc-mini now use Lipos all the time....

Check the pic for what I mean.

Thanks Tony. I knew you'd have the answer. That's what I'll do.

And you've reminded me now, we should probably put that little tip on the website too. Oops...

It really does help a lot and it also stops the pack sliding out after a big hit too.

No...never been to Omaha. Just released it for the TCS race in Milwaukee two weeks ago. This is my second Hooters body though, maybe you saw that one.

Holy...looks just about like the one Core Creations did for me.

I recently raced mine though so it's got a nice board scuff near the headlight.
