Thanks for the info and yes it does sound good !

Just wanted to make sure that it wasn't due to the front ride height riding too high..

Cheers.

Default info on M chassis based rules

Hi there,
I normally race offroad but due to the birth of my 1st child will not have the opportunity to race much in the foreseable future (a few months at least). My club has an onroad section which includes a 'mini' class. These are M03 based cars and are normally run as a second class- ie you run onroad something or rather AND mini.
I have no great interest in onroad racing, but loves the look of the M04m based mx5/miata car. I am considering getting one of those cars to fool around with. I'd like to talk my club into letting me race it along with the minis.
So what I'd like is a set of rules from somewhere that I could use as an example of Mo4 and Mo3 chassis competing toghever...
thanks,
-Michael

Check Tamiya's website, I believe the TCS rules are there for the mini class. I know www.tamiya.ca lists the canadian rules.

Same applies to the American website www.tamiyausa.com
The miata is the M04M so it has to run the mini size tire, and a restricted to a 19t pinion.

Default Bodies Available?

What bodies (other than the original Mini) are available or will fit the M03 and M03L chassis?

Lots have been released in the past (Tamiya have a variety of M-chassis shells, HPI also released several on 210 and 225mm wheelbase, and there are also others from even more specialised manufacturers if you look hard enough).

Problem is availability - HPI discontinued all their Mini-size shells, Tamiya shells other than the Minis are uncommon, the other manufacturers shells were not widely released.

Personally I have, or have owned, the standard Mini Cooper Racing Shell, and the HPI Civic and Golf (both on 225mm wheelbase - use the RCBoyz chassis extender if you can find one).
