looks like regular Mini BigBore Shock set will give you (me) full range of motion with using the long lower ball cups. applying same (very similar setup) to M07 that I used on my M05.
no internal limiters, using the droop screws as they are intended (which seems to be a big adjustment still to get used to by a lot of the 'mini die-hards')
appears that this 'shock setup' will also work nice if you are running the smaller diameter tires (Sweep, Pit, Rush) as well, with minor/no adjustment to overall shock length.

Both shock setups will work fine. I went back and forth between the TC shock and the mini big bore shock. For me, I decided that the standard touring shock felt 'more right' to me. full suspension range and kit came with standard sized shocks. so that must have been factored in... right? lol

Hey guys I am building a MO-5 V2 and installed a Tamiya Ball Diff. Set#54194. Tried to install the front axels (kit dog bones) and they are too short, I am thinking I need the Univ. Shaft kit # 53597? It has been quite some time since I built a Mini and seems like I have forgotten a lot about them. Will the MO-3 Univ. Shaft kit # 53597 work with the Ball diff. set # 54194 in my MO-5 V2? Thanks for any info.

As for the stock dogbones, did you try putting on o-ring in the outdrive cups on the diff? I had a problem once when using the TA03 diff (even with universals) where the dogbone ends would fall out.

I thought o-rings prevent the outdrive from moving away from the diff splines (causing stripping) when using the universals. I can't see how it'll help the universal popping out of the outdrive.

I didn't try the O-ring trick but the Diff came with two hard foam buttons that still didn't take up enough slack to prevent the axel from falling out. Oh well another order from TQ. Thanks for the reply's.

The way to tell the sizes are right in the numbers you posted. 850 is an 8mm outer dia by 5mm inner (usually called a 5x8). 1150 is 11mm outer, 5mm inner (5x11). That's how tamiya refers to sizes.

Torq steer
Hey guys, I have a M05 pro v2 I bought used. I run on a carpet track with foams and it torq steers like crazy. Any ideas on how I might be able to tame it a little?

The aluminum steering posts are a huge help if you don't have them. Also, for me anyways, a really right ball diff has always given me bad torque steer in the 05. How tight is your diff?
