Got my mini cooper about 3 weeks ago and loving it, went with a simple paint scheme. I first drove one of these in a 3 hour enduro event, and man was that a blast! Are enduro's common in other parts of the country?

The 54000 M's are a bit longer than the stock plastic shocks, but are shorter than typical 1/1oth TC shocks. To add further frustration, you'll find that Tamiya springs you purchase for the 54000 M's will be a tad shorter than they should be in my opinion, and were probably designed for the stock shocks.

In any case, the 54000 M's are the way to go for the Tamiya Mini, and even w/ the springs that are a tad too short you'll still be able to adjust to your liking.

-oh, and 5-6m is about the sweet spot for the M chassis. You really don't want to go lower than 5. ...you won't get much shock travel if you do.

I'm rocking an HPI #7215 BMW & have a second one coming HPI #7209 Datsun
Both are the Mid wheelbase of 225mm

huh? there are a ton of body options for the M-Chassis, ..there are about 1/2 a dozen from HPI, about a dozen from Tamiya and another dozen or more from other manufacturers including ABC Hobby. Is there a particular body your looking for?

not as common as you'd think they'd be - but mini chassis enduros seem to be the most popular that i've seen..

in NJ, we ran a 24 hour enduro a couple of years - 1 chassis/body, 6 drivers, lots of tires, lots of ducktape and headlights/taillights - it was AWESOME

but most that fit the mini seem to be discontinued...

I have an ABC hobby Datsun Sunny on a RWD Tamiya M03 chassis. I use it for just outdoor fun and waterproofed all electrics, kinda like a basher and raised up . More like a Rally car I guess. Would post a picture but cant yet so ill try and add a couple to my album here.

Recently picked up an M05 v2 used and it has a locked diff. It's totally uncontrollable. Does anyone have the parts numbers for the original diff or should I just go ball diff? Needs to be Tamiya parts only. Thanks!

It's probably easiest just to go straight to the ball diff.

Tamiya 53267, its the TA03 ball diff. It is better than the M05 ball diff.

If your referring to the hpi bodies that were originally made for the cup racer, they are not discontinued. There are half a dozen different modela available at the major online hobby stores. -I just checked, lots of stock available.

When putting it together be sure to tighten it like mad.
