Those are good shocks. Build them right and they're very good, especially considering most have knocked them down to a few mm of travel. One thing I've never checked on these is weight vs alloy shocks. Could be an interesting comparison.

Picked up an M05 at an awesome price and am looking forward to racing it soon.

I'm looking to find a different shell, besides the cooper. Definitely FWD car IRL
Anyone know if these exist:
VW Golf Mk2, Scirocco
Lancia Beta, Fulvia
Alfa 164
Lotus/Kia Elan

look up kawada's lotus elan
http://www.framega.com/oscommerce/ca...6agtp8g01d8d72

it has a 210mm wheelbase, so it should fit over a short wheelbase m05. don't think you're gonna fine one for particularly cheap though.

there's a mk1 golf, and a lancia stratos, but I don't think anyone's made anything other than the elan that you're looking for.

thanks for the Elan, that's cool looking. I'm looking for only FWD cars, like the 1990s Elan.

& yeah i saw the mk1 and I love my Stratos but that's just for the Cup Racer (can't abide a FWD Stratos).

My M-06, love racing it.
Started out as the Alpine A-110 set, have now bought what I would like to have in it.

You need wheels that fill out those Arches. Ride has m chassis mesh wheels that have +5 offset.

Take care of that Alpine A110 body set.. At present Tamiya has it discontinued, even though the recently releases an M06 with Alpine body.

There's plenty of those around, and this is perhaps the third (if not fourth) re-release of the body. I guess there's three reasons for it. One, the A110 has an impressing racing history people seem to still remember after all these years, two it is a really beautiful car (if you've ever seen one in the flesh you'll know that already) - also testified by their ubiquitous occurrence in most unexpected places and collections (there's a 1/5 scale body made by FG in Germany, so it's not only me or Tamiya), and it seems the Japanese especially really like their Alpines (there's quite a few of these cars in Japanese collections and they have put them even in anime cartoons, and all sorts of other toys and models), a taste Mr. Tamiya himself seems to share.

I would hazard a guess then that the A110 will pop up again.

I bought a drill press. That's kind of exciting, if not off topic.

Almost. Guy bought it and never really used it. Bench top, 8", 5 speed. Looks pretty much like this.

Saw a couple of more at the track today. Not overly impressive. If Fred goes with a slower handout type motor at the Finals, the M03 will rule and go out in a blaze of glory.
