@MonkeyRacig I think its only 3Racing that has the one way diff I could be wrong.

That's a spool. Loads of those around. I've got DIY, Yeah Racing and Tech Racing versions.

The answer, I think, is Tamiya. They made a one way for one of their awd cars that fits the stock mini gear diff housing. I've got one and it's always an adventure using it. Locks up on throttle, unlocks off throttle, zero braking! WHOO!

I think it was for the TA03. The minis would handle very well with it, but were "outlawed" where we were racing at the time. Getting them lined up at the start of the race and getting them stopped at the end was a bit of a challenge.

Okay getting off topic a bit
Could anyone explain to me what to do with a brushless motor that runs faster in reverse than it does
Going forward? Its in a m03 btw

3Racing did. There are still some to be found. Their M05 set will also work.

I'll assume that you have already checked the throttle EPA for both directions, and have calibrated the ESC. If so:

Advance the timing on the motor.

If you are running a Novak ESC, then you will get the same RPM in forward or reverse when the true timing on the motor is at 30 degrees advanced (for normal rotation). That is the "N" or "30" mark on Novak motors.

highly recommend not to use the 3 racing one, get some tamiya 5mm low friction all ends - part 53601, some long grub screws and make your own, the 3racing ones are prone to splitting, so they will pop off fairly easily, unlike those tamiya ones that i find pretty damm hard to get off.

gonna try a spool in my mini for the first time ever, my spec r gear diff internals stripped fr the 3rd time yesterday, annoying, especially when the car is handling so well. Got a 3racing gear diff on its way, with some ride putty to test out too, i usually run 100k in the car

I never seen a bent one either. My only complaint about the one I had was that it seemed to be a tad too short by 3mm. Could have been using the wrong eyelets though.

I was geared up to run my mini today for the 1st time since I've gotten it. Track did not open up due to extreme cold weather, they say they will be open tomorrow. Looking forward to going tomorrow!

something told me to go back and double check the ESC, and found that it lost its programming. Its the Edge by Novak. I guess that when I was
installing a new servo saver on the car and had everything apart for 2 days
it must have lost something someplace while everything was disconnected. Anyway All is okay now
