That's One of the reasons why the m03 is working better than the m05, but not your(and your followers) opinion though. Your reasons are not the only reasons there is... There's alot more out there you don't know about !

Maybe the reason the higher CG m03 works better than the lower CG m05 is the fact that the moment arm between the roll Center and CG is smaller, since the suspension geometry affecting the location of the roll Center is fixed... The m05 will have a higher tendency to flip, eventhough the CG is lower, when running the same springs as the m03. Theoretically, you'll have to run less droop and softer springs on the m05 than on the m03 to get the same results..

Testify, brother! (I still don't like the M05, though.)
x2. They're cheap enough to try.
Any decently stocked electronics shop (not Radio Shack), especially a commercial one will have it.
Thank you, Bob!

At my lhs. We race M03's, M05's, and M06's together on Thursday nights. We have a guy who runs a M06 with a datsun body running 25-27 laps with a fastest lap time of 11.382. With a brushed motor, so it's all about set up.
Yes it's all setup, but can folks here explain why certain setups Work and why others don't ??? Can they experiment and post their findings or are they only FOLLOWING someone else ??? I know it's more the latter than the former here... I'll keep doing my handling research regardless, and let them keep following.....

Actually, Jim, the TCS rules are pretty basic. What they say in essence is that the M03, 05, or 06 chassis are allowed. Any Tamiya option part built for a Mini is legal. You can stray from the Tamiya parts for hardware, servo savers, shock oil and that type of stuff. It's pretty hard to get into trouble as long as you're not "grinding" on stuff, for lack of a better word. In all probability, 75% or more of all Minis raced would be TCS legal, with very little change.
Many racers steer away form TCS events cause the "rules are too strict" which really isn't the case at all. I did not run the TCS Series for a number of years, due to that mistaken belief. It was a surprise to me when I found the changing of one part made my car TCS legal.
Another fear of course is the Red Dot one. For Regional events the motors are redlined at 18,750 rpm which many stock motors will approach or exceed. At the Nationals, you go into tech with no motor in your car. They hand you a motor in tech which you install in tech. You then race your heat and turn your car into a separate tech area. After turn marshaling, you return to tech, remove the motor and turn it in. All of this occurs under the watchful eye of the tech people. A lot of work for the tech people and expensive for Tamiya, but the competitors are assured of a fair event.
Have no fear, give it a try. I'll bet you'll have a good time.

What does ”black cloud” mean exactly ???? Hopefully it does not mean what I think it means !!!

Hopefully no red dot motors(over the rpm limit) will showup at the tcs races !
In any case, with the same gearing , the brushed motors can be a bit faster than the brushless 17.5t motors, specially with the wheelspin factor of the brushless cars...

I plan on getting TT01 Type E and maybe another M05 or an M06 to run at the TCS this year.
Ok, I got it .... I thought you only meant the red dot users...
If you get a good brushed motor, you'll be good to go ! My laptimes went down by at least three seconds when I got myself a good brushed motor and a decent setup. It seems you already have a decent setup(no traction rolling), now you need a motor that's right at the 18750rpm limit....
