Question about putting putty in the diff. Do I need special diff putty, or would pretty much anything work? I have some duct seal which I use for tire balancing. Would that work? Also how much do you put in? Do you fill the diff completely with the stuff?

For those who don't know, the Laguna Bozo or Craig Richter, is one of the best test drivers around. He's a very consistent and sensitive driver. I like to have him test the car when I think I'm on to something, both for feedback and so I can closely watch what the car is doing. I'm not nearly the driver he is so appreciate his help.
This leads me to the tip of the day. Have one of the good drivers try your car and get their evaluation. The problem may not be your driving. There are a number of drivers I consistently beat who are much better drivers than I am. People are often too quick to blame their driving.

Just checked the Tamiya USA website and the #84318 is a coming soon. The #54000 shock is out of stock. Sounds ominous to me.
If the X-ring 50 durometer whatevers are the Blue 0-rings, our experience is that they leak very soon. My best car still has some TRF TC shocks from an Evo1. Maybe it's time to upgrade. My guess is that the street price will not be $100+

The x-rings have a much smoother feel to them. A lot more consistent. I believe they are urethane as opposed to silicone or rubber. You can make plastics shocks perform like the aluminum ones. The down side is they last a quarter of the time. If you like rebuilding shocks, you'll get a lot more opportunities with the x-rings.

With our glass smooth track and ride heights in the 2mm range, I'll stick with O-rings.

Is the M05, M06 sway bar compatible with the M04?
Can I use the Carbon front & rear damper stay on a M04?

Just an ordenary M-03 with a Johnson motor and the TEU-101BK ESC.
Tamiya oil filled shocks and LiPO.
Using a Futaba 4PK transmitter and right now I got a PowerHD 120 servo.
Need to fix my differential, but got tips from rc-mini.net on how to do it.
Full ball bearing.
Need to take a look at the upper links to see if I can get some camber.
