Actually it's Toyota bB in Japan, and Tamiya made it...
It's not that popular outside Japan..

This question has probably been asked before but...

I am rebuilding my ball diff, I know that it should be screwed tight. I have built and rebuilt it according to the directions. When I rotate the diff, it seems like it's grinding. It doesn't rotate smoothly like any of my other diffs on my other cars.

Am I doing anything wrong or is this normal for this type of diff? I've wondered about this ever since I got my mini. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

OK Here's a good one for you mini gear heads. I am looking for the spur gear size ( #of teeth ) and the internal ratio of the mo3 mini coopers. I want to duplicate the final drive my mini has on my TA05.
Thanks................Paul

I do not believe Tamiya USA ever imported it to US. I found a full kit on ebay from overseas, but it was pricey. You'll occassionally see a body on ebay - last one I saw went for about $65.

Final ratio with the 20 tooth pinion is 5.8:1

hi, i'm about to get my first mini and was wondering if there is many gearing options that fit these cars and how important it is to get the gearing spot on with the sports tuned motors?
cheers

Does anyone know the part number for the hard joint cup set (diff outdrives) that fit the M03 with a ball diff. They have shorter splines than the standard version that suits the gear diff.
