Atlas YM34 Thread

Post all your tips/tricks/problems with the YM34 here.

I have had 2 Integy versions. I just got my new one last Monday. Finally got to run it today. The car is very smooth! I run mine with a P2K stock motor, Novak Cyclone 2 ESC, and 2000, 2400, and 3000s(I have 1 or 2 of all). I use a standard S3003 servo so far.

Im going to get the one-ways soon and see how the car handles. I race on a basically wide open permanent VERY smooth asphalt track. So post your setups etc here! :)

Hello all!

I think it'll take a little while for all the old users to find the new site, I only came across it by accident. I found a link on another forum - nice one SimonK.

I agree it's a shame about all the info' and tips lost on the old site. Never mind.

Integyarthur are you out there?

lets not let it die already!:sneaky:

AE_Racer 08-21-2001 07:01 PM

hmmm...guess nobody else found us :(

gospeed 08-21-2001 07:17 PM

I found it!! Yes it is a shame about the lost info....

AE- can you give me some of your general setups for asphalt...i have tried several and the car works good but recently i cant seem to lean on the car too hard and it will loop out, and it seems to bounce alot on any type of bump in the parking lot.

Thanks

Ok, if I remember correctly on my old YM34(just got a new one, sold the other), I used stock camber and shock settings with 50 weight oil, AE red springs and Take Off CS27 tires(I think, they were Take oFF hot weather tires though). Try that..I have a race friday and im gonna run with box stock settings to see how I do

gospeed 08-21-2001 08:32 PM

Cool thanks man...i have shelved mine for now in favor of my gasser.

AE_Racer 08-21-2001 08:34 PM

Your welcome. I think when I get the money I will try the oneways. Our track uses like half of an oval so we have a long sweeper. I want to see if they will help or not.

Hey, it looks like the integy guys are using a lot of anti squat (like 2-3mm kick) in the rear to stabilize the car, and running a lower wt. oil (~20wt) and softer spring in front to get the car to turn. Maybe this will help.

integyarthur 08-30-2001 01:56 AM

Here is what we are running now:

25-30WT oil with stock piston, if you want the shocks to run extra smooth...you can drill the hole a little bigger and use 55-60WT.
2 degree anti-squat and highest possible rear roll center. 0 degree front kick-up with the lowest possible front roll center. If you run front one-way, you can put a Yokomo front copper sway bar on. 5.5mm ride height with 9mm droop, the new Atlas light blue spring in the front arm's inside hole, the new Atlas purple spring in the rear arm middle hole. Extra long front upper arm, med length rear upper arm. Long middle bell crank link for extra ackerman. 0.5 to 1 degree front and rear camber.
