On a small track it is great. Acceleration is phenomenal. Jimmy Wright i believe, got the 3rd fastest lap at the King Of Cal race and on a big track(160x80) Lightfoot got 2nd with it at Hobbytown Corona. It is definitely a capable car and with a few more things to try out, i don't see why this car could not be a star. Just like anything, there is such a thing as over gearing, but once the sweet spot is found, i don't see why it can't be a contender.

I am finding out the Ballistic motors are near impossible to fit. My Duo doesn't want to fit without the 3mm motor spacer or a lot of dremeling the adjacent brace. Are there any motors that just fit?
I also stripped two of the screws on the front diff. I'm sure the thing will separate now under load. When will these parts be available stateside? I have a diff to run in the meantime.

As far as diff screws, use the Tamiya allen wrench..it is a perfect fit and doesn't strip the screw.

i had to dremel away 1.5mm of material to fit my hobbywing motor (v3)
BUT! it fits perfectly if you lay down the solder tabs a little (leaning them forward instead of straight up)

He said its a DIY job, nicely done too.
Tamiya mounts can get confusing, a guy on here called TryHard (Ed) has posted some very good stuff on his website - here is a link to the suspension block section:

Hope it works!
