Hi, just want to ask TA06 users about the car's street/parking lot capabilities.
Im about to purchase a TA06 Pro for street (drag) and track use.

• Does it suck up small stones or debris like the TA05 which sometimes jams the drivetrain?
• Does the gear cover effectively deflects small stones or debris and protects the spur and pinion gears better than the TA05?
• Can the stock drivetrain take an 8.5T brushless set up?
• Does it flex like the TA05 or lesser?
• Whats the most important hop up parts to buy first for durability purposes?
• Any known weak part of this kit? Any mods?
• Is it necessary to run a a fan on the motor since it gets less passing air?

Thanks

The Exotek has servo mounting holes already on both sides of the chassis

Default exotek / revtech

I really do not see it being a problem you may need to put foam on top
of the battery as a shim and maybe add an extra nut and bolt to hold the battery in place . I run the exotek with a orion 90c pack which is really big and it works out just fine.

I think I am using on of those holes as an extra battery guide/holder.

Is anyone running a mod class with the original ta06 plastic tub chassis? I am wondering how it would hold up with that much speed and power.

A little off topic but I want to give MikeR a big thanks for his excellent customer service and assistance for helping me with a part for my TA05.

If I get a TA06 the first option I'll be buying is the Exotek chassis kit.

Cheers
Rob.

really? no one is running this car the way it came right out of the box? in mod?

i know a lot of you guys bought the carbon fibre conversion for this car. i am sure it runs well with that. i just really want to know the limit of the car without any conversion kit installed.

3 other guys are running this car back at my track but none of them runs mod. they are all running stock 17.5 at the moment. and they all have the conversion kit anyways.... so they can't really tell me what i want to know.

if you want to run mod, might as well get a proper CF kit (i.e. 417x). the TA06 was designed for spec racing...

+2.
I've run mine quite a bit in 17.5 on carpet and asphalt. It holds it's own well, but I'm not sure I'd try mod with it. It just wasn't designed for that type of racing.

Sorry for the off topic. Which motor would you recommend, 10.5 without boost or 13.5 with boost and motor timing? I'll be running my 06 with an Orion R10 with the recommended motor. The track mainly consist of S-turns, 1 180, 2 sweepers and 150-200 ft straight. I appreciate the feedback.
