It looks to be 3 belts OR 2 belts to the front with a gear box in the back?

Battery unloads from the bottom??

That belt setup reminds me of the TA03
The rest of it looks like FF03
I like the position of the front shocks down the chassis, but cup racer already has this so not really new.

TA03 + FF03 = TA06!!

I reckon rear gear box (a la FF03) with front drive belts... that TRF201/FF03 gear box is getting used a lot at the moment!!

Pretty outlandish design... at least this car will fit a square case LiPo properly and have good balance... but is that hybrid gear/belt transmission going to cause some problems?

It looks like a mess, I'm happy I bought my TA-05 ver.II R before it's inevitably discontinued

Sorry for thread jacking once again, but here's some pics of the transmission.

To be honest, abit sceptical whether this is real. <insert conspiracy theory here> Only seen one site with it so far. Picture's rather blurry too, which is unlike tamiya.
Then again could be wrong. It's very much like Tamiya to release a new kit after an R kit is released.

+1, can't say i'm impressed either looking at that pic....

And I couldnt justify the cost of one, what with a hopped up ta05 sitting around.

Still, if it handles well, i'm sure some will buy it.

Elegant mechanics has taken a back seat to weight distribution in the TA-06.

If I had to guess what they are trying to do put as much weight as possible in the very center (lower moment of inertia) and bias the weight towards the rear.

I'm sure it's going to handle well, the question is will it handle better than the TA-05 ver.II?

An option for "normal" shocks up front would be nice. Otherwise, it's a pretty interesting way of getting the battery down the middle and keeping it 4WD without going the Type-R route. It could be a really fun project car, especially as the hopups start hitting the market.
