Cirtix combo is a really good one to go with. Let me know if you need/want one.

Heres the list according to the rules.

http://www.tamiyausa.com/tcs/rules.php

"Motor Rules: 17.5 motor technologies will be locked down to 4 manufactures to keep things simple for racers and the organizers alike.
A. Novak (item 3417) Pro Brushless Motor 17.5 (Yellow Ring)
B. Novak (item 3617) Ballistic Spec 17.5-yellow tab
C. LRP (item 50850) X-11 17.5 Stock Spec (Orange Ring)
D. LRP (item 50852) X-12 17.5 Stock spec
E. Tekin (item TT2251) Redline 17.5.
F. Speed Passion (item SPF17V2) Ultra Sportsman 17.5 V2."

So its just the LRP, Tekin and SP motors that will fit and be TCS legal.
Easy fix- space the motor out then run any of those motors;

Oh yeah. Forgot about that. I had the same problem with my DF03 and used that exact spacer to solve the problem.

I put 10k in mine but only because it's the heaviest I had, planning to go to 300-500k as well.

Also need to get some for my Spec-R in the TA05 when I run diff front (as I have a spool in there ATM)

Yes 50K works closer to a spool but still allows for diff action. It's a good starting point IMO and would be good with 21.5 / 17.5 non boost even in high bite situations.
