Here is Jimmy Wright's TA06 Pro at Cal Raceway doing some laps. 17.5 Non Boosted.

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Video quality isn't the greatest, but the car is stuck and very fast.

Looks great. What was his set-up?

I'm sure many would like to know what oils he used in the diffs.
Edit: Just saw Jimmy's post one page back.

Granted that it was night time so those RP30's would be out of their temp range on a hot summer's afternoon at CAL. So in that case would the Solaris 36s done just as well during the day?

Interesting, Horizon showing stock status of 7/30. Car is out already, I'm going to order one via GP for my LHS and see if there are any drivers interested running the new car. It will be $275 street or hobby shop price.

Almost done with the car. Need to put electronics in. Guess there is no other way to mount the ESC... will post pics later.

Tomorrow is TGP in Japan. Will be interesting to see how the TA06 does against the older generation.

btw, you can use the single piece suspension mount for both the FR and RF.
People have been saying that the chassis is too flexy. That's what I thought too, but once you put the batt cover on, it becomes solid. The rear around the motor has some flex, but I think it is just right. I'll still get the carbon reinforced parts though... damn you tamiya

Solaris at Cal just doesn't work. There are better tires Period like Sorex and Xpatterns. As far as motor temps..i believe he was running about 110*F.

I think the speed control should change places with the receiver. Using a Tekin RS will make it about the same weight as the receiver and will simplify motor wiring. Add to that a good low profile servo and mini receiver, and you'll have a very slim profile not to mention, less weight overall.

I would like to see CF or finned alum. for the stiffeners between the chassis and rear gearbox wear the fan mounts. Any chance of that being an upgrade to be available soon?

I'm all for swapping the esc and rx. It shouldn't be that bad with the Tekin RS. just wondering how much it will kill the R/L balance The transponder/rx plus the pulleys, belt, shaft, pinion, spur assembly... But I think the motor is off set to the left a bit to compensate some of that... anyone got 4 kitchen scales?

after a long thinking about buying the TA06 PRO and lot's of reading here, i've decided to order mine at stellamodels
I'm hoping it will perform as good as my TRF416X
Not quit sure what motor i will be using with this chassis.
