I use regular length on Tamiya Track in Aliso Viejo. Just got the Short dampers and towers to try next time around.

Has anybody had rear traction issues with the ta06?
The rear on mine slides around bad on turn in and a bit on exit as well.
Racing on med grip carpet.

Could it be the drivetrain? Ya know how the rear is gearbox, and the front is belt? The front will have a "lag effect" i believe, and the rear could be breaking loose under power, because the power is more direct. My theroy anyways. If im am correct, try a softer tire all the way around.

When I put my ta06 on the tweak board i have to adjust it quite a bit at the shocks to get it level. Does this mean my chassis is tweaked and needs to be replaced?
If so for carpet do I want the regular or car on reinforced ?
When the tweak is set the ride height is off about .5mm side to side

Carbon reinforced parts will help reduce the weight of your car. I installed all the carbon reinforced parts on my TA06 and had no issues except for the carbon reinforced lower deck. I find that it breaks easier compared to the stock lower deck. I went too wide around a sweeper and cracked the lower deck after hitting the side wall. If you're a good drive and you don't get into big crashes I think you'll be fine with it as it's also a bit stiffer compared to the stock lower deck.

I'm not sure about your chassis tweak though. I looked at mine and it's level on all sides. So it's possible yours might be tweaked assuming everything else on the car looks fine.

Right now i'm being busy with mounting a full new TRF418 suspension on my TA06, including the TRF418 stabilizers.
Hope to be able to get the car done before thursday, then i can test the new setup in the evening.

I've been digging through the thread for quite a while and can't seem to find a direct answer to a question I have. If running 64p gears, what size spur gear would be advisable? I've got an 88 in the car now and there's a good sized gap between it and the 44t pinion on the motor.

I'm fairly new to 64p, but I've got many more pinions in this pitch than I do in 48 or .6 mod, so I'd like to utilize them. I'm going for an fdr of around 4.3.

Thanks for your help!

jim

How can you get the fittings for the stabilisers? What part numbers please?

a 90 or 96 spur should work fine for the FDR you're going for...

the bottom stock deck is already reinforced with what i think is fiberglass fibers. thats the one piece that i would leave as stock, as it will flex a little more that something with a higher carbon content, which can be a good thing.
