I am going to start running 17.5 blinky. What range of spur and pinion gears should I look at getting. I know I want to be in the neighborhood of 4.0 fdr correct?

Just a shameless plug if anyone is looking for a Tamiya TA06 with Exotek Chassis and many other TCS legal Hop ups

I run it in scale spec classes or TCS races

I have to say I'm keeping my TA06/Exotek. Although I was bummed about a couple things with the conversion, track performance is very good. The chassis handling is exceeding the drivers skill at the moment - very happy.

Yea I can see the potential in the ta06. I was running almost stock pro version and i can play with carbon cars with similar speeds. Exotek is deffo on my list in the future

Does anyone out there know what size screws fit the Tamiya Aluminum Rear Stiffeners for the TA06 so you can mount a Motor Fan.

Thanks.

Did TCS. Finish 18 overall among like 35 to 40 entries in GT2 class. Stayed in 8th place in B main (car faded when I pushed my gear and timing) Almost 99% of cars were TA05's and TB03's. 1 through 19 spot pretty much did 20-21 laps all day. First real race since 2010, had jitter fingers all day long (lol). I believe in this car, it can compete with the rest. In a great setup and drivers hands it can be better.

The length of the screw depends on the thickness of your fan. But he diameter is 3mm.

Thanks, thought they were 3mm, just can't get the different threads to to screw in.

Was going to go back to the kit ones just to test the fan.

Tamiyablog are saying that there will be a carbon chassis version of the TA06 at Shizuoka (#84352). Might explain why I've seen a few heavily discounted TA06's online in the last couple of weeks.
