Good to read your coming out with something smaller. Question is when? I hope soon. I would like to put my receiver on the chassis of my T3'11. Will one of those raised heat sinks work with a GTB?

Have any of you tried our Mongoose esc with 25.5 (540) motors? It should work fine on this motor. I checked with engineering; I know that some guys are using it in other applications with high-wind motors (17.5s).

If these worked it would be brilliant, they are much smaller than the other available legal Novak esc's and cheap to boot.

I would be curious on how setting curves for brakes and etc are comparable to the GTB. I wonder if the load and power of touring car would over heat it? Do you need the large power cap? I would rather see something small compact and specific built for VTA from Novak.

Does the 25.5 Ballistic have a label/color on the stator to indicate its a 25.5? I'm looking to change a 10.5 to 25.5 but on Novak's website the stator looks to me the label is black and not indicating its a "spec" wind. I don't want to look like a cheater! I'm sure it will be obvious by the speed that I'm not running a 10.5! I hope I put this in the right forum. New to VTA and touring cars.

Without going out to look at my motors, iir there is a colored block integral with each stator that keys with the motor can. Each wind has it's own color, these are basically a replacement for the colored rings on the SS motors for the spec classes. 10.5 is blue, 13.5 is orange (reddish), 17.5 is yellow, 21.5 is green and now the 25.5 is black.

I don't know if the black distinguishes itself from the "mod" (low wind) stators, but to your point it will be pretty obvious if you show up with a 7.5 or whatever. It would be a pretty tremendous trick of throttle control to not reveal you were running anything THAT low.

The stators are color coded for the spec winds, the (25.5) is black. The blue ring can be ordered from Novak if you want it, but you don't have to run the blue ring, it would be for cosmetics only.
