USVTA Scale Championship, May 1-2
I plan on driving up from Joliet, Il. to watch the races (my car won't be done yet). Just wondering which would be the better day to go, sorry can't make both. Are the races being held at Gurnee Hotel or Harbor Hobbies?
Look for the older guy (I'll be 51 by then) wide eyed and drooling!!!!

New rules go in to effect in September. Check your local track or club rules though. Nothin' says they have to adopt the rules to the letter.....but its probably best.

no big deal...alot of tracks are finding ways to slow the cars down to "OG" speeds without changing over...it is interesting that almost every VTA event has moved to the no boost rules or profile settings....the last couple of big races Ive been to, have this in place and it seems to work great...it has started racers to put the GTB's and Havoks back in the cars and leaving the high end stuff for tc or other classes.....
I think the rules set for the USVTA Nats is the best way to go...and thats pretty much what we have been using locally since the Tri-state Grand Prix in Cincy....
just remember that the new rules work as well if not better...the 25.5 is alot easier and smoother to drive.....also the esc are alot easier to tech....
just keep the class going no matter what your club or the national rules are...VTA the best of on-road racing...(with a little of rcgt)

After seeing Speedpassion in Europe sell a speedo for ~$65 (49 euros) to help out the ETS, I'm hoping Novak steps up to the plate with an uber cheap offering as well. *Hint* *Hint* or Tekin, or whoever! Just if you're going to require us to use an obsolete ESC, it better be cheap! and cheaper than a motor!!

I have what may be a stupid newb vta question guys. I have a novak brushless motor, its a 13.5. Can I just change the rotor/stator whatever its now called, and put in a 21.5 or a 25.5? I am on a very limited budget but trying to get a brushless system together on the cheap for my ride.
