Look in the Florida regional section and ask. Obviously I wouldn't know! LOL

As far as I know we might be the only ones left !!
I believe FSEARA gave up on VTA. Course those 13.5 rules didn't help.
I don't believe Village is running it either. I check their regional thread every so often and I don't see VTA mentioned.
SarCar was the only one I knew about but don't know their status.
Don't know about Hobby Cantral either.
The local Hobbytown here has elected to offer VTA in their new program but it's been stated they will use ROAR rules.
Is ROAR definitely changing to 25.5 ?? It's possible HT will still use the existing ROAR rule set. Don't know.

Has anyone at VTA given any thought to the idea of setting up a "Regional" championship program ??? Personally I'd love it if we could set up some races with folks in Georgia, Alabama, Florida for instance. If the regions were kept small enough, travel could be kept pretty reasonable and it could be 1 day events so hotel stays would be 2 days at best. Any thoughts ??

ok guys the time and days are going really fast.....Thunder Jam is just around the corner, and looking really good...

Like Ive said before, if you are going to Snowbirds in FL, this is a perfect race to get ready for it...plenty of fast guys to race against and a super smooth track with new carpet...and big enough to get that "BIG" race feel...and dont forget ...
"The Visitor from Sweden (Alexander Hagberg) will be here the 26th of Jan through the 29th but will not be racing the 29th. Our flight to the birds is at 3PM Sunday. He will be there all day friday and Saturday for those wanting to come run with us. Practice will be available for a special price!

EA "

But even if Snowbirds isnt in your plans...Thunder Jam has been a great event year after year for USVTA racers as well as TC and 12th scale..with the new track and an open door for alot of new racers, I can see VTA and GT being awesome...and as smooth as the track is I see a really good 12th scale class with TC

and above all else, its $5 more on the entry and carries a cash payout...in any class with 5 or more...and trophy as well for Jr VTA and VTA...

plus $25 CASH for overall concourse winner and Final Race of the Night
USVTA Super Main...VTA cars will go 50 laps. Winner will take home $50 Cash...

its a win win for all the racers attending the
4th Annual Thunder Jam Championships..(Birds Warm-up) Sunday Jan 29, 2012 @ Thunder RC Raceway in Nashville,TN

call for more info...615-851-1876 ask for Battman

http://www.thunderrcraceway.com/

what are you running?...

Im in for 17.5 TC ROAR Spec

I think your only on road track is Hobby World which as by the looks is only running oval.

I had heard that off road place in green cove was looking at starting on road but have not checked back in a good while.

If something does start up down there I would probably join every so often as I am down there every other weekend or so.

I saw Greg from Hobby World while I was down there for the holidays and his wife Rita was dealing with some medical issues so until that is resolved I don't think your going to be able to get him up for starting something new.

You could try getting in touch with Bill Fraden "bull frog" and see what his take on the scene is and what it would take to get VTA going there.

We are here racing every 1st and 3rd sundays, and our track just recently started racing. We do have a vta class, but pensacola is a long way away from jacksonville.

Hmmm...just saw it for the first time. Little confused just what the difference is between it and GTB2. I think we need NovakTwo to chime in unless Rob already has his hands on one.
