That's the body that comes on the sprint 2.

Yes. Actually the Vintage HPI shells are 200mm in the front and 210mm in the rear and the vintage wheels take that into account. They are all made to go together on a 190mm chassis.

I hadn't realized it was that width. It might be a typo since they are calling a Lamborghini Gallardo a Diablo and a Mercedes SLR Mclaren an SLK.

i think that body is for the cup chassis cars. I think looking at the wheelbase and and stuff it seem s that it's sized for them.

We are running our Cars without Traction Compound. Just using the grip of the tires on carpet that is used by other classes using foam tires (tyres) and Compound.

We are finding that once the tires heat up there is lots of traction but that takes about 3-4 laps.

Does anyone else do this?

Let me know your thoughts on to Compund or not

All we need is a 2wd rule and we'd be set.

Sorry, I tried searching this thread, but the search function resulted in less than favorable results, lol.
I have a stock sprint 2 sport that I'm planning on taking VTA racing, I have the 25.5 installed as well as a havoc 3s esc I had laying around. I'm just looking for some base setup info to get me in the ballpark. Shock oil, springs, camber, shock positions, etc. Also, what's a good starting point as far as gearing this car in this class?

Someone told me 100/55 but I'm not sure haven't tried it. I think it depends on what if any final drive ratio limits there are for where you will be racing.

This is for a small,50x30, track. This is a work in progress, but it hooks up well on our track. I have the CF chassis and shock towers installed. The main chassis was a huge improvement over the plastic chassis.

FRONT
Ride Height - 5mm
Droop - 1.5mm over ride height
Caster - 4*
Camber - -1.5*
Toe - 0*
Upper control arm - E
Shock location - 3B
Springs - HPI Pink (15.2#)
Oil/Piston - Trinity30/2 hole
REAR
Ride Height - 5mm
Droop - 1.5mm over ride height
Camber - -1*
Toe - -3*
Upper control arm - C2
Shock location - 3[color="Red"]A
Springs - HPI Orange (12.1#)
Oil/Piston - Trinity30/2 hole

For gearing I would start around 3.6FDR. A 96 Spur and 56 Pinion is 3.65FDR. I would also pick up a 53,58,60 for Pinions.

Thanks for the info. Are you running a front one way? I don't have the woven graphite chassis or shock towers, but I do have the upper deck. I am running a ball diff in the rear, and I do have a front one way I can put in.

A 56 pinion? That's huge, where would one acquire such large pinions? Are you talking 48p or 64p? I'd prefer to stick with 48p just because I have every size from 12 to 35, but I'm not even close to hitting that ratio, is there enough adjustability in the motor mount to use 48p with a much smaller spur? Like a 52 spur, and a 30 pinion, that would put me at roughly the same ratio.

Like I said I didn't try it but I think it might be to keep the belt away from the motor. It was 64 pitch and I did find some when I was looking. I thought that it was a bit large myself.
