I'm still building mine but I'm gonna run whatever Rob and Kevin say to run
( Rob or Kev, any time you can PM me your setup is fine with me )

Um, your fast enough Howard, you don't need help with the TA05 besides, I thought all asians knew instinctively how to make a Tamiya go fast.

anybody care to listv the info on the cars the currently run and what equipment?....this helps when ppl look on here for help to see what to buy..chassis,motor,servo,radio,esc,fdr,gear pitch,body..ect...let it all hang out...

I run:

Chassis: TA-05 (first gen) ,Body: 65-66 Mustang, Motor: 21.5 novak, ESC: currently tekin rs (no turbo no boost), will be switching to the havoc pro, 64 pitch gears, Radio: Nomadio react, Servo: JR 8800, Battery: Tunderpower 5000 (it balances the car without extra weight). Can make weight under the upcoming rules

Also Run
Chassis: HPI Pro 2, Body: 65-66 Mustang, Motor: 21.5 novak, ESC: currently Speed Passion gt 2.0 ( no turbo no boost), will be switching for the new rules, 64 pitch gears, Radio: Nomadio react, Servo: JR 8800 Battery: SMC 4000

AE TC5 (wanted to try something new--had been running TC3's and TC4's for YEARS, won last two VTA races with TC4 after I'd already built the TC5), Novak Havoc Pro (GTB) w/21.5 Ballistic (have 25.5 Ballistic ready to go for next season), 'Cuda body w/McAllister interior tray, Spektrum Pro equipped Airtronics M11 w/ Spektrum 3500 receiver, JR8800 servo, SMC 5200 LiPo, Manutech LiPo weight.

Losi XXX-S Graphite Edition. HPI Camaro body. GTB and Novak SS 21.5 motor.
Car will be slightly under weight with the new rules. Spektrum Pro receiver with M8 transmitter. Hitec Servo.

hot bodies cyclone (original chassis), futaba 9550 server, Tekin RS (no turbo/no boost), 64P gears, KO Helios, camero, 21.5SS motor, Scooter Motorworks 3800 30C pack

depending about swapping out for a havok pro or gtb - just so i could go run a 'big' race and be legal
