A little Shoo-Goo and some drywall repair tape and the "old" ones are plenty strong...as long as you're not using it as a battering ram.

Miles Higgins, 11 year old from the sticks put on a new Silver GT350 lid and proceeded to run with the leaders this weekend. His father requested he roll his corners, pick his acceleration and braking areas and then go have fun. After qualifying 4th for the A main, He managed to finish third behind Rich and Chris at RCP in Madison, WI. His inspiration was the old mangled Camaro body from last year. Either he keep the new lid clean, or the old goes back on. He kept it clean! He backed up his performance in 17.5 where he won the B main and bumped to the A to take another strong 3rd place, beating his own father who finished 5th.

Miles's dad, John

I hate to talk about the current Cuda body like that. Since it has really nice undercuts in the front that give it a nice authentic look. However it is that authenticity that makes it thinner in the nose than elsewhere in the shell. I just dont want HPI to fix it by making the under cut more shallow. I have had the thicker shell in my hand and its much stronger and only about 30 grams heavier than the original when its trimmed out.
