Beats me, but I do know a little about silver cans .

For an out-of-the box 540J Johnson (a Tamiya #53689 motor with 2 can vents) 5.2 is a good start. You could dip down into the high 4's on an open flowy track, but go up into the mid 5's on carpet or something tight and smaller. The VTA wheels and tires are pretty heavy (not to mention the car at 1500 grams), so keep an eye on motor temp (180F plus = VERY BAD).

NO WINGS IN VTA!!!
just because I had a fade on the pin strip on my smokey yunick body it wouldn't be me without my colors. we just want to have fun. trust me after having my team have a battery die on track and me breaking a shock losing 2 or 3 laps, the wing wasn't making a difference to the end of the race. Q drove the line and got fast laps same as myron with a 21.5 lipo on 4.2 and me with a 17.5 lipo on a 5.31

I would like to of gotten more track time though

Yes, thank you. Our track is a HUGE flowing outdoor pavement track... with a combined straght of over 160 feet... so maybe 5.0?

Default The Next VTA shell will be?????????

We have seen Andyh poll us for what we would like to see in the next shell. And we have heard that there are some shells in the "works". Does anyone care to speculate what the next shell is going to be.

Here are my guesses for most likely new shell.
1. Javelin. (We have been begging for one for a while now.)
2. 70 Mustang (Lots of us are running the Pegasus and we all think HPI would do it better.
3. Notchback Mustang. I hope the fastback stays legal.

Could be a Cougar, Firebird or a 70's Camaro, but I think the new shell is one of those three in that order.

I would go 67 or 68 Mustang Coupe(notch back).
The Javelin would be Cool too!
