Besides, the Corvette clearly has 427 CID badges on the hood scoop, obviously making it an illeagal motor for T/A, think 13,5 .....
The preceeding was only ment for pure entertainment and in no way reflects anyones actual thoughts, biases, desired class changes or internet flaming.
Lighten up Francis, it's a joke....

If anyone with a Trans-Am legal car wants to run our vintage stock car class on the oval this weekend at Trackside, and needs to borrow a body, I have an extra Superbird body.
Vintage class rules:
Trans-Am rules with Bolink: Superbird, Monte Carlo, or Torino Talladega bodies only.
Let me know ASAP if you would like to run. PM me or meet me at Trackside after 12:00pm tomorrow. This is not a BRL class, just a Trackside class that is putting on a great show.
Practice Friday
Racing Saturday and Sunday
At the one and only:

/./The white is bright for sure & impossible to miss.
They are the standard HPI 5 spoke shiny chrome wheels (HPI3822 & HPI4793) The only thing I did was to paint the centers gloss black & then painted the lug nuts chrome. This was just to hand detail them, but nothing else was done to add any more shine. Maybe the flash made it stick out or something.

If one was being "strict", that vintage weren't raced in the Trans Am. Note in your pictures (great, by the way) the B/P on the side of the car. That stands for B-Production which is a sports car class (2-seat) with engines (IIR) between 3(?) and 5-litre (305) capacity. Trans-Am cars will carry a T/A or A/S (A-Sedan) class designation.
A-Production is where your big block Corvettes, 427 Cobras, etc played.
B-Production was small block Corvettes, the aforementioned Mustangs, Sunbeam Tigers, etc played. I believe E-Type Jags were also classified here.
The HPI Mustang was included, though, as there were even fewer choices at the time, and it's pretty darn close...notchback versions of the same car WERE Trans Am cars. I'd vote to phase them out if HPI ever come up with a '69 or '70 fastback though.

PLEASE--point me to the HPI (or anybody, really) early notchback. If they've got it, I'll buy three.
Thanks!

The Pegasus one isn't bad. I think the front is great, the rear (and on the Camaro too) suffers from the molding process they use. They're both squatty-looking, but so it goes. I've had both--gave the Mustang to a local (who has a genu-ine GT350!!) and he runs it.
