Japan Radio Systems Channel Frequencies
At our club meets we are experiencing some difficulty with registering JR radio frequencies with other frequencies.
When you buy a crystal set from a retail shop, it comes with a channel number on it such as 1,2,3,4 etc. When we match these numbers up we are experiencing that a number 2 from other manufacturers is the same as a number 4 from Japan Radio Systems. Is there a list of Japan Radio Systems Channel numbers and there respective frequencies so we can put this issue to rest. Thanks, http://www.ozshops.com/shops/radio/i..._jrsamxtal.gif |
The Japanese Spec 27mhz band has 12 frequencies rather than the 6 we use in the U.S. so to those of us here in the U.S. a Japanese 01 crystal is like .5 an 02=1, 03=1.5, 04 =2, 05=2.5, 06=3, 07=3.5, 08=4, 09=4.5, 10=5, 11=5.5 and 12=6. I use a KO on 02 japanese crystals, so I'm on US spec channel 1. I always remember to divide the number on my japan spec crystals by two to arrive at the US spec frequency I'm on, and that's how I avoid such conflicts for myself. Of course, this only applies to 27mhz.
If your country's 27mhz band is set up like ours this is useful info, if not this post is just taking up space. |
Use the last three digits of the radio frequency to avoid confusion. The digits after the decimal point. European racers use the full radio frequency number to help avoid confusion.

the manual I got with the Novak XXL receiver has all of the freq # and bandwidth info for all r/c including overseas, maybe try that site

Tres, as for the Euro 27mhz.
In a lot of countries, only the 6 (as US) freq are used. Even 5, in some countries 27.255 is banned. The extra frequencies in 27mhz 9gesides US 6), are used by CB radio's. Which CRYING out for interference, 4watts up to 200watts and long antennas. as opposed to our 2.5ft antenna and a 1/2 watt transmitters... Pizza |
Pizza: your correct..
I was only prvoding the list as asked, how poeple use them is another story. Most of the CB guys have low $$$ amps that splatter the band. You can hear the same guy on 5 ch.'s around him. |
Yeah you're right about that.
Personnally I still have got a President Lincoln onthe attic, somwhere. That IS spot on.... CU |

Thanks guys for your help.
If anyone is after a printout sheet with the different region channel frequencies, see the attachment: Receiver Channel Frequencies.pdf (It has been adapted from the novak manual) Thanks again, |
