Default XRAY 08 vs TC5

Ok so in a week I am going to be purchasing my first touring car. I want to be able to use it for a long time cause I dont want to buy a new car every year. I know the xrays are amazing and lots of people recomend them. So I would like you people to put ion your opinion on those 2 cars only please. I would liek to hear what people think of them.

both are great....but you can't compare them two together....
if your hobbies store carry TC5 and T2 007 then you are in good hands.
if you got the money to burn .get the xray.if not TC5 is cheaper...

Get the xray dude. I just bought my first touring car and an xray was my second pick. Check your local hobby shop and see if they carry a wide variety of parts for it before you decide to buy...

If you're going to race on RUBBER tires, get the TC5. If you going to race on CARPET, get the XRAY...period...

Between those 2 cars get the Xray for racing on any surface. The TC5 is nowhere near as nice a car as the 008. Anyone that has built a tc5 and an Xray knows what I mean. Besides the 008 improvements are all aimed at better rubber performance.

As someone has mentioned before "Parts Availability". A $300.00+ car does you no good while it is sitting on the shelf broken and you have to wait for the part before you can run it.

Cost of kits, running cost (parts), availability, durability and performance. TC5 is my choice.

i think TC5 < xray T1, T2 007 > t2 008 . if you have enought money, take a xray t2 007eu. it the best of the best. i have tc4 ,s400, t1r, t1 evo 2, 2 X t2 007eu, i think it the best.

Default XRAY

Get the XRAY! And if your local guy cant or will not get you the parts, I will.

WFT? I dont understand this statement? So if you buy a TC5 you wont have to buy a new car every year, but if you buy a xray you will? Did i miss something when i bought my xray cars? Was there a contract in there that comited me to buying every single new release that xray puts out?

Common just because BRAND A puts a car out ever few years and BRAND B every single year does not mean you must buy a new car ever year..... Especially if you just starting out i dont see the justification of buying new car every year

I run a 007 before that the FK04. I wont be buying the 008 as i race at my local club and between work and family my car has about 20 race days on it since i bought it, hardly can justify replacing it just cuz the 008 is out. Sure everyone that gets there 008 will be posting about how much faster they are with the new car(never mind they will also have fresh body, tires and bearings in there car)

My friend owns every xray TC that has come out, his all time fav? The FK04 he is going back to it this week... something about that car just feels better to him, he will likely be as fast or faster then his 007 this week

For me the decision between the two is simple:
-hobby shop support
-local racer support
-cost or value(side by side out of the box the TC5 does give you more bang for your buck... and im an xray guy.) ITs cheaper to buy a TC5 and you get more extras in the box, as well the parts are 50% cheaper then xray, when i buy an arm for my 007 my buddies get 2 for there TC5

I would pick up the xray either one (007 or 008) would be as good or better than the tc5.
