I have never had a problem with the x-ray axles. I know they are expensive to replace if you do bend one though.

However to the thread starter; get the x-ray, beefier breakables on the car. The only things I have had to replace was 2 knuckles due to bearing failure which melted the knuckles and one rear upright from slamming into the wall, and then it wasn't broke just pulled the turnbuckle out. I haven't driven a tc5 but there is a guy at my local track who has one, and it seems that even a slight bump will break the car. I wanted to try one until I saw how many heats the guy doesn't finish.
