VDF2 is being announced tomorrow at the Shizuoka hobby show in Japan. Should be a good option... but I prefer my Street Jam OTA-R31 overall (great aftermarket parts selection, easy to work on, and since Tamiya is hard to get, might as well run something "scene")
Regular TA-05 v2 is alright, but not ideal due to the center mounted motor.
For a drift car;
- adjustable suspension (camber, caster, toe)
- large steering angle (some cars can be modded, but some cant. VDF1 was poor in this respect, but VDF2 is supposed to have all new steering parts)
- good weight balance (front motor, fromt-mid motor is where it's at)
Raincity Raji Kon - hit me up to drift in the 206/425 -- High CS OTA-R31, RWD "doripake", 50:50 OTA-R31, Slash 4x4, Slash 2wd, Subaru Brat Scaler
WTT: my HPI MRS4, carbon fiber chassis, extra wheels/tires, front one way, skyline body for 1/10 on-road/offroad touring/drift car.
