Just got my battery today. I am also wondering what type of balancer plug this is? I already have balancing adapters for kokam/neu, thunderpower, hyperion/polyquest but none of those match. Does your battery use the align plug? If not what plug is it?

thanks

I did some more reading and looking at pictures and what not. Still haven't seen anything definitive but it is looking more like Align (Align is what Electrifly uses, right?) than anything else, especially if the Reedy's balance connector uses 2.5mm pin spacing. Also looking at the wire colors and orientation of the plug it seems like the polarity is correct for it to be compatible with the Equinox balancer. I guess if I just wait until next week I should know since I went and ordered that balancer plus the 2S high power adapter. Hopefull that wasn't $$ down the drain! If I'm off-track here please let me know because I'm thinking that I'll be charging the Reedy 5000 Pro with the Equinox in-line in "Interface Mode" at 5A.

This was the intent of the battery's appearance and I am glad to hear that you like it!

Also is a battery temperature sensor recommended if charging these on a Duratrax ICE charger at 1C rate?

Anyone know if it's compatible with the "JST EH" balance connectors on the Core charger?

When will the saddle LI-Po's be ready to go? I would really like to run one of the saddle packs this year before it gets too far into the season.

So, has anyone tried one of the 5000's? Is the performance as good as the CoreRC pack?

I have one and tried it in my rb5 and t4. I dont have a core pack to compare it to though. To me it seemed to have the same amount of power as my neu 5000mah 25c pack, but haven't run it on the track yet to confirm. The reedy is about 20g heavier then the neu pack though.

I've got a 5000 regular and a 5000 pro. Ran them in my B4, T4 and HB Cyclone and they seem really fast. My first lipo's, I've always ran IB 4200's from promatch and I can't tell the difference other than the packs last forever, no drop off in speed or power. Felt really good in 10.5 in the touring car, didn't give up any speed or power to all the cars running IB's or Energy 4600's. I'm sold on these packs and lipo.

For anyone who's curious (and to answer my own question), the balance plug on the Reedy lipo fits directly into the Core-RC charger (UDC-20) without using the adapter! I balanced my new Reedy pack tonight this way with no problems.

Thanks to Jeff from SpeedtechRC for showing me this!

Hello,

It would be nice to see some cycle numbers for this pack., i dont want to buy it and it is a dog compared to other 25C+ packs on the market. Does it feel exactly the same as a NiMH ?, i know the SMC 28C and the orion 3600 25C packs feel just like a NiMH on the track..

Thanks Ya`All

Not that this means alot since there is no set standard, but I thought the Reedy packs were only rated at 20c not 25c.

Are you saying that the the SMC 28C and the Orion 3600 25C feel the same on the track? Was the SMC a 5000 or 4000?

Well been looking around for another charger and lipo.... Rick you had mentioned awhile ago something about an Associated charger. Did that ever come happen or is it going to happen any time soon? Also I heard someone mention something about a new Reedy lipo... wasn't sure what to make of it but I've seen some good sales lately on the Reedy 5000's. Is there a new lipo coming soon?
