seems simple enough to me.

drop 19t sedan or 19t 1/12 and insert 13.5 or 10.5 brushless with lipo

and decide if masters will be brushed or brushless,
WORD!!!!

'Cause what I wanna run is in my sig...

We did that at both Nats in 2006 in NorCal.

As for masters making an additional class (although it is by the rules) I don't see it that way. It's just a subdivision of stock. It doesn't create more entries/heats or any more mains. If there wasn't a masters class those drivers would be in stock. It doesn't make any difference if there are 60 entries in stock or 40 in stock and 20 in stock masters. Still 60 drivers, 6 heats and 6 mains.
I agree! Masters has been around a long time, why drop it now?

Actually the Number of Mains would be 10. A-Mains for these classes require Triple A-Main Format.

The classes will be announced soon and this discussion was NOT about Eliminatating Masters Class or any class.

There was a comment regarding what to do about the Master and Junior classes since over the past 6 years participation at the National Event has been on average 12-15 entries for Masters TC (when there was a class).

I offered a suggestion so those eligible would get recognition, including the non-sponsored (Zero Percent guys/gals) for Top Privateer.

I know of (3) more Masters drivers planing on attending this year, brushed or brusless. We were at Stockton with Bill in 06 and I think there was even a "c".........

good luck guy's we are all pulling for ROAR to make some ratical decissions....

17.5/27=stock

13.5=intermediate

open mod

17.5 Masters

silver can minis

27 brushed 1/12

open mod 1/12

those classes seem very reasonable, tho it does away with the brushed 19 turn motors, in the long run it would probably be best for our hobby.....

just My opinion of course, but thats what Id like to see.......

and count Me in as another in the Masters class

one thing i think that is being overlooked is the ability to gear a 17.5 in some sedans. if masters is going to be brushless make it aleast 13.5.

i'm thinking with all the debate over masters, this year will be pretty darn big.

good point about the gearing, does any one know if thats a problem ?

is there a problem gearing the mabuchi type motors in a tc ? Im guessing it might be close to the same as 17.5

48mm rollout seems perfect for the 17.5 and 99% of the sedans out can reach that rollout. I've run the 13.5 for some time and now I've been running the 17.5...The 17.5 is MUCH closer to a 27t brushed motor.

Talking Classes

2007 roar onroad nats classes:

STOCK TOURING CAR : 34 ENTRYS
19T TOURING CAR : 20
MOD TOURING CAR :20
MASTERS TOURING CAR : 16
12TH SCALE STOCK :16
12TH SCALE 19T :9

These numbers show that 4 out of the top 5 class were pretty close on
entrys. Maybe our ROAR Excom should look at how to get more interest
in our sport than worrying about how many classes we have. 115 entrys at a
National Event shows that our sport is strugling to survive. And why are
worried about to many classes!!!!!!!!!LOL

Default Reserve your pit space.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have began taking reservations for pit spaces under the "big top".

As stated in the "initial info release" these pit spaces will be reserved for out of area racers only through June 6th. After June 6th if there are any spaces still available, anyone may reserve a spot.

Currently 94 of the 100 total spaces are available. This sounds like alot, but hopefully these will begin to fill up quickly once the classes and entry forms have been posted.

what is the procedure for reservations, just tell you, or something more formal, put me down for two spots.

something to think about is the "team pit spots" most of the guys running on team or even the same car wanna pit together.
