Run time shouldn't be affected too much, it is the voltage drop that is significant. What kind of time are you getting? I know in mod 1/12 we used to run 8 min qualifiers and mains on the first panasonic 3000 packs.

I don't think making 5 min. with a 4 cell would be a problem, it's having to use lower turn motors to get the same speed that will sacrifice runtime.....

cool... i guess its the weight difference between the pan car and the mini, also being 2 belts and might contribute to the inefficency, making it slower than pan cars...

Yeah, pan cars are direct pinion to spur, no drivetrain resistance, and no drivetrain sacrificing speed for gear ratios. I would think that you could get 5 mins of runtime with a 3300 4 cell and a 11 triple...

BTW, the trick to getting the extra runtime is bieng very smooth on the throttle. Try not to use any brakes on the racetrack because you'll just have to use more throttle to get back up to speed.

With the tighter turn radius this car should have and slower speeds due to less cells I wouldn't suspect braking wouldn't be needed as much as on a regular 1/10th tourer......?

You really shouldn't need to use the brakes much, but I haven't driven one to know that for sure. I don't use the brakes on my modified touring cars anyway though, you just have to pick up a smooth driving style.

Actually I got a chance to run my 1/12th on asphalt, and I retract my previous statement..... it may me faster on rough asphalt, but on the smooth stuff the pan chassis will desimate all....LOL!!!!
