Yeah, I ended up taping it in and I put in some firm foam to kinda shim in the pack so it could not slide or wingle at all. I also sanded/rounded the edges of the top plate as it rubbed off some of my heat shink in a crash. We don't really force any big restriction/weigh limits etc. but the 3200 balances out my car almost perfectly. ..so I dropped 250grams! Lipos are the way to go! I will never buy another nimh pack. Put one run w/ this pack in the B4 and it's now a lipo ride also.

I'll get some pics of my Orion 4800 and Mi3 tomorrow, but with the shorter centre track rod, the pack sits closer to the centreline of the chassis and the negative terminal is open, but sits very close to the RH bulkhead.
The track rod comes as a pack of 7, all different lengths and ackerman positions, I just used the one thats the same spacing as the original, but shorter to move the post forwards. The part number is "U3135 Centre Track Rods; Set 7 - Mi3".
If anyone wants to use the list compiled in the first post on your own forum or website, it'd be easier to just link back to this thread instead of copying & pasting, as this list will keep getting updated.

Some nice dirty pics :
Connectors out, it runs close to the pinion without touching it.
Negative connector in, it does touch the bulkhead but there's another 2mm before the the pinion touches the pack so I usually take some time spacing it when I tape it in.
Shorter centre track rod.
Full right steering lock with the pack in, doesn't touch the CTR.

just adding some pics of what I've done to my 3200 pack to get it to fit in my 415 MRE (this will also apply to a MSX, MSXX, and MSXX MRE 07)
I just lightly dremmelled the case in two spaces to aid clearance. The one on the back edge of the pack is deffiently required. The other (under the bulkhead "hump") isn't really required to fit properly, but it sure makes getting the pack in and out easier.
And yes, I could have dremelled the bulkheads instead... but I couldn't bring myself to cut into the blue!
regards
Ed

T2 008 with 3600
Is anyone running a T2 008 US with a Orion 3600, if so what modifications were required?

Chassis used: Xray T2
Battery used: Reedy 5000
Mods needed: Remove Plastic Battery nubs off chassis. Mill off nub on bulk head. Use (11) spacers under rear bulkheads. Use (4) spacers under the front of graphite brace. Use (1) spacer above the bearing for the upper steering bellcrank.
I used HPI .75mm spacers but 1mm Xray or even washers would work well.

Chassis used: Tamiya TA-05MS
Battery used: Orion 3600
Mods needed: battery tends to touch the center pulley rod. To remedy, you can cut a couple of pieces of lexan and double tape it to the centerline -- serves as a stopper for the battery so it doesn't shift towards the pulley rod while running. the stick pack conversion set (J-parts) for the 415 MSX might work as well.
