Default Ghetto Power Supply...

I was just taking the hard drive out of an old computer, and noticed the power supply and how similiar it looks to Much More's Power Master. I also noticed that this too is an AC/DC power converter. It has the same power input and output of my Cell Master, (120V/12V 40amps) as it says on the casing. With a little jimmy rigging, could I get this thing to work? I have an old charger that I don't care about, and the worst that I am risking is a little electric shock, can't say that my brain isn't already fried. So I am asking all of your opinion's or past experiences, would this thing possibly work? If it does, then I would have an awesome power supply that I didn't have to pay $300 for!!!

yea there some people who make pretty nice power supplies from computer power supplies. if you do a search online you can find how to do one yourself. same goes for motor coolers. seems pretty simple.

Wow, awesome! I have a crap ton of old computers! I am going to make a couple of them that way I can give them to a couple of my buddies. Or maybe sell a couple. I mean I could sell them for $50 when a normal 40amper costs five times that. But I am too nice if it didn't cost me anything to begin with. I just don't think it's right to sell something I got for free. Unless I put untimely hours of work into it, which this doesn't require.
