i know what all the hype over these cells is about. my buddy bought a set of these last week from promatch. the numbers were not really all that impressive, and after running them 4 times he said they were running flatter than a pancake.

with some many choices right now, ep or ib seem like a far better choice.

I received 1 pack to test on Friday morning "Pro-Match Gold Numbers". I cycled it for base line numbers on Friday night. I ran it Saturday 4 times in a row and never took it out of the car. For the main I charged it at 8amps and peaked it at 10amps just to see what it would do. sunday Morning I cycled it again just to see how much I lost on it. To my surprise I picked up 7sec of runtime and .06 in Voltage. I put 1000sec back in the pack after I was done. Wed I ran the pack again. This time charging at 10amps every time just to see If I could kill it. The pack had major rip charging at 10amps but I was sure that it would kill it. This morning "Fri" i cycled it out again just to see how much it fell off. It picked up 2sec of run time and the voltage was exactly like it was the last cycle.

Take it for what its worth! I think these cells are the real deal!

Chargin cells 8-10amps takes a rist of venting, exploded like an IB. Also the pack will be dead in lik 15-20 cycles. But its good for testing.

what were the numbers on ur pack? he had 442s 1.233v 1.5ir. the words "flatter than a pancake" stick out in my mind... made me LOL. he is a respected racer at my local track, that personally holds a lot of weight with me, not so sure if i will be spending my money on these right now.

my numbers on the pack were higher in run time but lower in voltage then your friends pack. 458RT 1.231V and 1.5IR.

CEI GFX used to cycle "not sure off the top of my head what firmware"

1st cycle-
runtime-452
voltage-4.91

2nd cycle-
runtime-458
voltage-4.97

3rd "This morning" cycle-
runtime-460
voltage-4.97

Those are the numbers cycled at 35amp discharge and 6amp charge. Granted my GFX has always been proud with the voltage numbers but its all relevant to my machine. My point was that the shit went up not down.

Not sure what is up with the pack your friend got but I got 2 4-cell packs first one #'s on lables:
461 RT
1.239 V
1.5 IR
I cycled it 5 times on my GFX on Sunday
started out @
440 RT
4.90 V
6.5 IR
by the last cycle the #'s were:
452 RT
4.94 V
6.3 IR

Second pack #'s on label
461 RT
1.233 V
1.5 IR
cycled out
448 RT
4.94 V
6.4 IR

These are all cycled @ 35amps charged @ 7amps. These are great cells

Pulled this off Hobbytalk:
Ran the new Ener-G cells last weekend at the BRL race in Il. cells ran great, lotsa punch and a great power curve thru the entire run!! Ran the packs once sat and once sunday with no drop in performance. TQ/Win/Track Record... Big props to Pro-Match for the great cells! Frank Ulbrik

Default 2 whole runs

Wow, once saturday and once sunday and no drop in performance. That is 2 whole runs. If the packs have 30 runs on them and still run great, that is something.

I really don't think that packs should be praised based on their performance over a handful of runs.
