Something to do with "racing", you know, always trying to get the most out of your equipment, be it chassis, tire choice, electronics, or maybe even the motor!
Brushed motors you can still improve with the options of springs, brushes and timing, not just waiting for your newest, hottest BL motor or speedo to come in the mail, and if it's not something you like then pass it on to some other
sucker

hey all: Don't knock it,because there may be tracks both on and off road were brushed may be a better choice than brushless. Also some may prefer brushed and untill brushless becomes legal for all classes stock 19t and mod theres still a place for it.Just my 2cents worth

Brushless isn't legal in Japan. Marc won with this motor the JMRCA Nationals.

Perhaps the next great thing will be Marc Reinhard and Andy Moore signature Visa cards that come in blue and purple anodized finishes!

They'll help you spend faster than ever on all of their other signature gear!

Brushed appears to be faster at our on-road track then BL so far in the 19T class. Just like the NiMH cars are faster then the Lipo cars too. Yes - the new technology is exciting, however, it is a little ways away from being faster the then the current race equipment available.

That's not necessarily due to 19T brushed is faster...its set up and gearing, too...and even if they were faster, its not the case everywhere else...Marc R. himself runs checkpoint Bl system, as well as Atsushi Hara, and Andy Moore runs Orion BL, and many other great drivers: Dreshcer, Levanen, GrosKamp, Surikarn, R. Volker, B. Baker, T. hodge, M. Dumas, P. Wynn, and so many others..they're all winning and doing great w/ brushless systems....

All these drivers are running BL 19T (10.5) systems in their cars or are you talking about Mod????

I can't speak for mod - nor can I speak for anywhere but where I race (which is primarily 19T Foam) however, brushed motors have the advantage at this point for the non-super-hero drivers like the ones you mentioned in your post. And while gearing etc, applies in BL - it does also apply in brushed. Currently, the brushed-motored cars that are geared right are faster (about 1 to 2 tenths per lap) then the properly geared BL motors.

No doubt that BL is the future of RC - however, as it stands right now, brushed is still faster where I race (www.fastcats.ca).
