2007 JMRCA All Japan Super Expert Touring Car Championship
The 2007 JMRCA All Japan Expert Touring Car Championship will take place @ Yatabe Arena next weekend (November 16-18).
As far as I understand this year the Expert Championship has been divided in Expert and Super Expert classes. The Super Expert class is reserved for the previous years top ten + other drivers who have qualified through various selection races. Overall there will be only 30-40 drivers (if I remember correctly) in the Super Expert class while the other drivers are running in the Expert class.
Rules are the same as last year as far as I'm aware, with the exception of a control tyre-wheel-insert combination.
This means 5 minutes, 4 cells and 1350g.
Brushless is still not allowed - god knows why.. (although the union Japan Manufacturers of RC Association probably know very well why... )
I'm sure some of the above might not be correct, anyone with more info please correct or add...
This being Japan testing has been intense at Yatabe Arena for some time already. Here are a few places you can see something from the testing that's been taking place.

Got any more pics or info on the car in the second picture? Looks like a 415, but with a load of mods to it (different steering, shock towers etc)... is it maybe one of the 416 proto's?
EDIT - I see, it's a Tech Racing MY07, hence the similarity to the 415/6
Still interesting to see the development going on... and the 416's race debut by the look of it
Hmmm... new HB car at the nats too? check the first picture in this blog http://pdver2.exblog.jp/ ... HB logo'd shell with painted over windows... to stop people looking in I guess?

The text below the picture says that that particular driver just seemed too lazy to mask the windows. :-)

Hey british pal, you could take look from translate of google, it's not correct but still for a little bit.
I try it before but doesn't say nothing about the rumoured proto Cyclone, nor some big japanese sites did.
The 3rd photo just showed the Cyclone of 1 HPI driver, and it's originally the same as current version. Maybe only in Super Expert Final will be carried by some HPI drivers, Hara-san should be the candidate .
