They look pretty much identical to the Orion Platinum. Same 4mm banana plugs for power and 3mm banana plug for balancing.

Tower shows the Orion at $139.99 and the TrakPower at $115.99.

I am looking at batteries right now for a T4 with a Novak 13.5SS.

I can't decide on the TrakPower 4900, Orion Platinum 4800, MaxAmps 6000 or Core 5000.

I currently use the Orion Carbon 3200 in my T2R and charge with a Scorpion charger from FMA Direct. Great setup for me; LiPo/BL is the only reason I went back to TC. I am hoping the same will resurrect my interest in electric off road.

The best thing about Trakpower LiPo packs is the warranty. No matter what you do to the pack they take it back and give you another one free. Obviously if you run it over with your real car or do something stupid like that they won't replace it, but if you puff the pack or it leaks they will replace it. Flight Power batteries are the best. If you look at all the top guys in helicopters and planks they all use them. Every now and then we get a pack or two returned to us and we send it back to the importer and they replace the pack every time. Even if its an out dated pack they replace it with the new one. I would definatly get the Trakpower balancer with it as well you won't be dissapointed.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I have used everyones lipos at my track, I tried the carbon orion, platinum, and I liked them, but after I got the OK to run TrakPowers, Got those in a heart beat!!!!!!

They RULE! IMO (MY) opinion, there better then orion (kokam cells) TrakPowers enerland cells are just the best lipos you can buy, and there finally making it towards car, as said all the top heli guys use flight power, and all the people that have BL 8th truggys and E revos with a high end BL system have flight power packs.......

Its just the orion pack's are much better known in the car world, but FP/TP are getting there

Anybody knows the right dimensions of these packs? On Trakpower they are talking about 160mm length, some others about 137.5mm.

Yes, My buddy plugged in his pack backwards and puffed it, he just sent it in, and they gave him a brand new one.... and it took less then 2 weeks, counting him shipping it to them

And the newer packs are 25C, they have offered to send us the new ones if we send in our older ones

I will be doing that soon
