When I want to figure out which motor is fastest, this is what I do. I put all the motors in a box, climb a very tall tree, and dump the box of motors. Which ever motor hits the ground first is the fastest.

You want to be fast?
Ok. How fast? 200mph enough?

Make one like this.

The Mamba system has run over 100mph in the 1/4

It's great that you can put together a drag car. I think you are not the only one to run 90 on a prepped drag track.

Screaming on here that brushless is lame and slow is lame dude.

Your original post sounded like a rat and it turned out to be true. See, you didn't really want an answer to your question you only wanted to argue and fight.

Lookup my buddy "air8" in the user list and check out his signature... you need to read it.

the 200 mph is impressive.......would a m-tronics pro series combo with the right gearing beat it on 4 cells and 14.8 v

I doubt.

the other guy is using 8 lipo cells and a huge Neu motor.

No Just an example.I am into dragracing but I set up an off road RC10 truck with a drag power set up,ran about 65 at 2.5 sec.Burned out the motor after 2 runs.I am looking for some serious power like that to bash around on the street and parking lots with my son without burning out expensive stuff.Thats why I am asking about brushless.I heard they have alot power but Dont think they have the power you can get from a brushed motor.

ugh.

A brushless system will pack more power than a standard brushed.
Why do you think Traxxas and Losi push their Brushless RTRs now? They're simply more powerful. Pack more volts and more cells, and they just get even more powerful. Besides the fact they need very little maintenance, they're just better overall.

You got 2 runs from your brushed motor... I think that pretty much makes whatever performance you got out of it null and void. (means it doesn't matter/doesn't count) Sounds like you are pushing your brushed motors way beyond what they are truly "capable" of. Maybe you would not have got 65mph at 2.5 seconds if you were using it properly. Unless you are willing to consider your motors disposable, maybe you should rethink your position... and stop bashing brushless until you have tried them.

You seem convinced that your brushed motors are faster, so maybe that's best for you. Or, you can get off your high horse and actually listen... or evedo some research into the brushless world. Maybe even get one before telling us all how much they stink.

Can you tell me what brushed motor I would use to power an 8-9 pound truggy for a 30 min race and beat all the nitros in power and speed? Let alone do the same thing week after week. There is more to brushless that just raw power.

Here's you 100+mph brushless drag car w/Mamba 7700 system

This site calls it the fastest drag car in r/c, and it's brushless.

98mph @1.40 seconds

104mph @1.52 seconds

BL probably does have more power but you have to gear it a lot differently then a brushed motor. If you were gearing it like the brushed stuff that is why you did not like it. I got a system in my truck now with the 13mm rotor and it has crazy gearing compared to what I geared it at for a brushed motor.

Yea I Love the Idea of low maintenance thats why I am asking about it.BUT!! I am not talking about standard brushed set ups like you are..I can make a custom brushed set up more powereful than any brushless set up.

My question is what it the most powerful brushless set up running 6-9 cells.

Run a Novak 3.5 or Mamba7700 on 9 cells.... you won't ever call brushless slow anymore.
