Default Anyone still doubt 1/8 Buggy has taken over...

Big non R/C sponsors, big cash payouts, huge turnouts/entries at the local club scene, etc.

Not ripping on electric TC since I like that class the most but whatever the TC scene is doing is not really getting it done to bring in new people.

Watch the video nice "aerial" footage and about halfway through you get an "areola" shot of the trophy girl :P

Exactly what I was thinking. So that paid for his travel expenses and his tires

Truggy had the same payout as well. I'm not sure how Tebo finished in Truggy, but I know Cavalieri and Maifield were 1 and 2, not a bad payout for less than a weeks work.

You guys have to be kidding me. $5k to win a race (1 weeks worth of work) is great. Even with expenses, it is awesome.

Any onroad race you are in the hole, period.

Is that a serious comment??

1/8 buggy is a blast to watch
REAL sponsors...not this random r/c battery or motor company
they get tons of new drivers all the time

money for prizes sucks? At the IIC the top dog Lemiuex got $500 or something for scoring the highest between foam and rubber mod classes. Heck the 10th place guy probably got that at this race. Not knocking Lemx or the IIC race but just saying 1/8 has something going on that electric TC is just lacking.

Sure most guys are not full 100% drivers and have regular jobs. So it's even greater that these guys won big money. If I had the time and was that good of a TC Mod driver I would start practicing 1/8 Buggy just to try and cash in on some of this.

I think Rich Howart and Billy Easton are some of the greatest drivers because they seem to do well in Mod electric onroad and offroad as well as 1/8 buggy racing.

I also agree with what the Tekin owner said in his interview on RCLIVe or something...

When asked what he thought the "next big thing" was he said 1/8 electric Buggy races. That would be huge. Sure he has a vested interest in it since he makes BL systems and ESCs but it's still a big statement.
