Hi,
the Sphere Competition 2007 Edition does have 8 ADPC profiles in BRUSHLESS mode and 6 DEMS profiles in BRUSHED mode.
The original Spehere Competition (2006) does have 6 profiles on ADPC aswell as on DEMS.
Also, the 2007 Edition does have a larger capacitor. It is much longer then the one form the original Sphere Competition.
The pictures in the first thread looks like a 2007 edition.
Best regards,
Andy

here is a pics of mine, came in a sealed box from my LHS with the 2007 sticker on it, despite what anyone says, I didnt change any cap, thats the way it came. I dont get that into esc to know what size cap or this or that, I take products out of the box, put them in the car and race, in fact I bought that one in between rounds because my GTB burnt up. So there it is, that pic was taken by the buyer, and to be honest I couldnt pic the esc I sold out of a line up

loopedout,
I'm kind of with you on the "I Don't Know" factor way too often.
I have 9 NOVAK Cyclones, a couple have different color labels but most have what I believe is the PURPLE label. I didn't car what color the label is...all I knew is I had 9 cars and wanted them ALL to have virtually the same ESC with the same wiring layout. That way I don't have to think about things when I grab a car to go racing with this weekend. (All my cars have servos and ESC on them..and I just pop one of my Spektrum receivers into which ever cars are going to the track) I use to have 9 PCM receivers until I switched to SPEKTRUM and have only been able to afford 4 receivers.
My LRP Esc does NOT have a heat sink, and the capacitor is WAY smaller than the one in the photo. I got it used in a trade and I believe I was told it was an early '07 (I've had it since about March or April)
Regardless which one it is... I LOVE IT. It works great, and once I figured out how to set it up...it's SIMPLE.
PS - I have 3 GTB's too...and I think they are ALL originals....but I've never really paid any attention - the PRICE was right.

yeah ive looked at all the spheres that have been sold on here and the cap mine has matches the claimed 07 models and all the 06 regular sphere comps have a really small capacitor. That and I didnt see the blue wire on the hardly any of the pics people have, is that something people remove?

Yes, the picture of the box looks like a 2007 version. The way the stickers are attached. Thatīs how they leave here at LRP.
On the picture of loopedout, a Sphere Comp. 2007 is shown. This is the big capacitor. The 2006 version has a much smaller one.
Best regards,
Andy

Interestingly enough, after all this, last week I get my new 07 sphere comp, ordered from my LHS and it has no blue wire, but 6 profiles, and no addendum sheet in the box. So I wonder what is LRP's stand on this, should the 07's have 6 or 8 profiles, are some 6 and some 8? We checked another guys LRP 07 comp at the track and low and behold, 6 profiles. What gives LRP? Not knocking the product, kicks ass how ever many profiles it has.
