Use the 0-20 volt DC setting on most voltmeters or if you have automatic setting even better. You can monitor the voltage of the pack but not the MAH. If you have the time to watch the voltage climb as it charges you will know it is almost fully charged when the voltage stabilizes and after a minute or so the voltage starts to slightly drop make sure you stop charging when this starts to happen.
Hope this helps

The other sign your fully charged is temp increase.
If you get a cheap digital indoor/outdoor thermometer and use the the out door probe to monitor temperature, the point at which the voltage stops climbing you should see an increase in temperature up from room temp past 100 degrees F . Somewhere between 110 and 120 is the time to stop the charge.
