XRay T1 FK04 HIGH SPEEDS

Hi there guys,;)

I just purchased a X-Ray T1 FK04 and installed my Epic 6X1 motor in it (I have been told it's a 6X1 but I can't verify it as I don't have any details of it) (Is there any way I can tell). I think the car hits about 80km'h. however I'm looking for more top speeds. I think it's not all about the motor and stuff but the gears have a big role in this. So if I was going for top speeds what gears should I use with my 6X1 (Spur and Pinion).

Thanks any help would be appreciated:nod:

80 km/h?

no, i dont think (tho i may be wrong) it could be that fast

my brushless lipo car only goes 55

it has a equiv 6x1 brushless motor

dont overgear the motor!!!

i have a team tc4 and im using an Epic Shock 2, 6x1 and i own an 8x2. i can tell you that there bith really fast.

i have 2 friends that have fast brushless systems and here are my thoughts

friend 1: lrp 3.5 brushless with lipo and my 8x2 and 6x1 smokes him using the same car as i have.

friend 2: hes running the losi xxx-s belt witha novak 3.5 and a 4200 whip-lash 6 cell pack and i cant touch him with either motor. he is just way to damn fast. He now owns a tc4 wich has smaller gearing and the losi has bigger gearing so now with his tc4 i cant catch him at all with either motor

there wicked fast motors but trust me after a couple of runs you will replace brushes and always have to clean it constantly wich motor cleaner costs to darn much for what you get.

i am now brushless using the novak 3.5 and lipo and i wont go back because i dont have any cleanup or anything else.

What gears could I put in to get high speeds and still have the motor running good with not too much strain??? I am currently running: 84t 48p spur and a 25t 48p pinion.

Also how do I calculate the rollout? Is there a basic formula and is there one I can do online or download? And what should the rollout roughly be?

Would it be pushing it if I were to put a 80t spur and a 33t pinion? Would the motor die quick?
