Maybe this is a trick to sidestep the exclusive agreement with Trinity? Sell the same cells to everybody else under a slightly different label?

These cells are enroute to the matchers and should start showing up soon on websites and store shelves within another week or 2. Remembr that with higher capacity you are going to be in the higher voltage part of the discharge curve longer for a greater part of the race so by virtue of that alone the average voltage during a race will be higher. EP cells have proven to be reliable and hopefully these new cells will be just as solid.

These cells are slightly moe expensive than the EP4200 cells so you will likely see slightly higher prices on them - especially since they are new and in somewhat limited supply to start.

I saw a new EP 4200 cell blow up the other night. I have never heard of this happening. The pack was a matched Trinity pack that was one day old. I was about 4 feet from it when I heard what sounded like a M80 going off, then a cloud of white smoke. I hope it is just a one time fluke because my IB's are getting very old and I am looking foward to an upgrade to the new 4600's soon.

Not cool, Mother Focar. I sell EVERYTHING on my site MUCH cheaper than ANYBODY else in the business. Take a look. I am pretty much all out of stock on EP4200 cells but my 1.230+ volt 6 cell packs are selling for only $59.99 vs $69.99 from everybody else. My tuned motors are cheaper by 20% on average compared to the "big" guys.

The new cells cost about 5.3% more than the EP4200 cells to purchase from Trinity. So yes, they are slightly more expensive to buy. It is up the retailer/matcher as to whether they absorb the price difference or not.
