Default Brushless vs. Brushed????

Hey guys, I'm trying to get into this brushless revolution, but I am kinda blind when it comes to "3.5, 4.5, 5.5...etc." and how it compares to what I'm used to like "7 turn, 8 turn, 9 turn" with a brushed motor and then for specific applications, like off road, touring, oval, etc.

Can anyone shed the light for me please?

Thanks.

As a rough guide, you can double the BL number to find the brushed equivalent. i.e a 3.5 is equiv to a 7 turn, a 4.5 to a 9 turn etc etc.

But BL has a ton more bottom end grunt.
