Got to admit, but so true.

True as with anything else these days. Hobby shops don't take back bought electrical gear (no money gained gotta get on e-bay or something), Real cars de-value at in comprehensible rates and computers get cheaper by the day.... and the list goes on

But your not really making a $1000..if you spend $2500...
I learnt never to sell the gear you buy, i gave the hobby away for a a couple of years and sold out... then i had to spend all over again...Just buy the best and keep for your kids, ooo theres a nasty thought ,,,kids?? I better grow up first............narrr.
