What should be the first hop-up for my traxxas 4-tec?

A set of bearings and a Trinity Monster Stock motor would be good. And also, if you're running a MSC, get an ESC.

Knowing that the 4-tec uses msc, i got an esc right away and put that in already. So a trinity monster stock motor, huh? Is a stock monster motor faster than a 20 turn single wound touring car motor?

Bearings, too, if your car already doesn't have them. What ESC did you get? I'm sure that the Monster Stock will be faster than any motor that comes with the car. Just make sure you don't over gear it. Getting high quality matched packs will make a difference too.
