ok so i picked up a evo 2. i tore it appart and did a rebuild. i noticed that there is a one way bearing on the spur shaft. and a plastic bolt on the end for tightning/loosning adjustment. i was wondering what effects this has on the car. i run stock 27 turn on indoor carpet

Its a center one-way. Tightening it makes it a solid and loosen it makes it a one-way. You get more steering with the one-way action but lose brake. When tightened it acts just normal.
